New Ballots for International Election

In August, all Hawaii ILWU members should be receiving a new ballot in the mail for the International ILWU Officers election. Please exercise your right to vote with this ballot. You must vote again even if you mailed back the ballot you received in July. 

The ballots sent in July will not be counted. Due to a computer error, large numbers of the July ballots mixed up names and addresses.

Following is a tentative schedule for ILWU Statewide tournaments in 2009.

56th Annual Golf Tournament
To be held on Kauaii, looking at playing Kauai Lagoons
September 5-6, 2009
24th Annual Slow-Pitch Softball
To be held on Hawaii Island
September 26, 2009
53rd Annual Bowling Tournament
To be held on Oahui
November 27-28, 2009
28th Annual Basketball Tournament
To be held on Maui
December 12, 2009

Open to all ILWU Local 142 members, their spouses, and dependent children. Check with your unit officers, as some unit finance policies may pay the entry fee for team events.
 
August 15-17, 2008 - Oahu Division Fishing Tournament
ILWU Oahu Division will be holding its 14th Annual Fishing Tournament from August 15-17, 2008. Sign up now and win prizes for catching the largest fish. Get application forms from your business agent or call the Oahu Division office at 949-4161.

ILWU and other Maui labor unions will celebrate Labor Day on Sunday, August 31, 2008, at the Velma McWayne Santos community center in Wailuku.
